California Public Opinion On Health Professionals Talking With Patients About Firearms
Public opinion on whether or not health professionals should discuss firearm safety with their patients varies. This study using data from the 2018 California Safety and Wellbeing Survey found that most Californians felt that firearm safety discussions with health professionals could be useful in some instances, particularly for patients with risk factors for firearm-related harm.
